ABOUT ME
Whether it's through crafting immersive audio landscapes or in research for documentary sound, the impact of sound can be boundless if you know how to properly utilize it. I have devoted myself to understanding this and have worked to grow my understanding of philosophy and psychology alongside it. This has provided my with a wonderful base of knowledge for my filmmaking as well as my academic endeavors, including a BS in Cinema and Photography with minors in Marketing and Philosophy as well as a MA in Sound Arts and Industries.

As a filmmaker and sound designer, I find myself most drawn to experimental films that push the boundaries of sensory expectations, primarily documentary, but fiction as well, as you’ll see in my work on this site. With a history in both film production and audio engineering, I have a broad grasp on the needs of all involved in the filmmaking process and am excited to begin more collaborative work as a freelancer in the Chicago area!
Outside of art and academics, I am an avid sailor. I am endlessly grateful for everything sailing has given me, from excellent problem solving and communication skills to friendships I’ll have forever. My love of sailing, and of open water as a whole, continue to enrich my style and impact the way I approach sound design. This maintains itself as a motif in my work, from films based around the water to the flow of sound from scene to scene mimicking the movement of the sea.

I have just finished the design of my debut feature film American Dendrite, a documentary currently in the festival circuit, which you can see the trailer for on the tab “FILMS." I am also excited to announce that I am taking on my second documentary feature, The Fair, a film produced by Ines Sommer.
Feel free to reach out! I am available for work— effects production and foley, all post-production audio (film, audiobook, podcasts, etc), as well as recording work in the Chicago area.
